Thyroid disorders are epidemic, and often missed by doctors performing standard blood testing. That can leave people unnecessarily exhausted, achy, overweight, and even cold intolerant, all while easily available treatments exist. Dr. T discusses why holistic physicians might be more helpful with these conditions. (Time to watch: 1 minute)

This is part 5 of a new 14-part series from Dr. T in which he provides short, one-minute videos summarizing key points in how to overcome fatigue and recover the energy you once had. You can watch the entire 14-part series at EndFatigue.

New Event: Healing From the Lingering Effects of Long COVID and CFS

4th Long Covid and ME/CFS Holistic Healing Summit

WHAT: Online Event, the 4th Long COVID and ME/CFS Holistic Healing Summit
WHEN:
October 28th - November 3rd

As we continue to adapt to the evolving health landscape in 2024, many people are still grappling with the long-term impacts of the pandemic, including millions who continue to suffer with long COVID and CFS. In a free event geared to helping these people, my friend Lorrie Rivers has brought together over 26 of the world’s leading holistic experts on post viral syndromes, chronic fatigue, brain fog and more in the areas of physical and emotional healing for the 4th Long COVID and ME/CFS Holistic Healing Summit.

As I've written many times — including in my latest book, You Can Heal From Long COVID — these complex conditions remain largely misunderstood, with many healthcare providers struggling to provide effective treatment.

However, there is hope on the horizon…

Join Us for This Free Summit

Along with cutting-edge interviews (including an interview with me) there will be inspirational recovery stories, in-depth case studies, and even daily meditation and yoga videos. If long COVID, CFS, or any other fatigue illness has impacted your life or the life of someone you love, this event could be life changing for them or for you.

I hope you can join us.

Low Magnesium Associated With Higher Risk of Diabetes, Hypertension and High Cholesterol

Magnesium

A new study looked at several factors that resulted in people having low magnesium levels, including PPI acid blockers (although Pepcid is okay) and diuretics. They found that these factors were associated with a 30% increased risk of metabolic syndrome, the key cause of hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol.

Magnesium is critical in over 300 reactions in our body, and having low levels of it is one of the most significant nutritional deficiencies of modern life. And most Americans have this deficiency, despite the levels being declared "normal” in blood tests. This is largely a result of food processing, which reduces a preprocessed daily American diet from a typical 600 mg content down to 245 mg, while the recommended daily intake is 310-420 mg.

This is one more reason why taking a good multivitamin each day, one that includes 150-200 mg of magnesium, is so important to your daily routine.
