Man attached to a heavy fibromyalgia ball

Hello Reader,

Most of you have heard me talk about fibromyalgia and its close cousin, chronic fatigue syndrome, many times over the years. But for those who are newer to our community, and even for longtime readers who could use a refresher, I want to revisit the basics of what is really going on in these conditions and why they are often so misunderstood.

Any discussion of this has to begin with acknowledging that fibromyalgia is not “all in your head.” It is a very real energy crisis in the body, often involving sleep, hormones, infections/inflammation, nutrition, and exercise — what I summarize with the acronym S.H.I.N.E.®. But the good news is that when these key areas are addressed together, many people see remarkable improvement.

In this article, I walk through the causes, symptoms, and treatment approach I’ve used for decades to help people with fibromyalgia, CFS, and related pain conditions.

Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome

A new book by Devin J. Starlanyl

Book: Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome

My new book, Pain Relief in 4 Simple Steps, discusses the biochemistry of pain relief — a guide that shows you how to use readily available nutrients and herbals, as well as medications, to get pain-free.

But pain can also be effectively relieved by addressing the muscle trigger points — with no pills needed! Devin Starlanyl is one of the world's most respected experts and patient advocates on muscle pain. Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome is her newest book, and I highly recommend it! As Devin describes it, "New technology has revealed so much about myofascial pain syndrome and fibromyalgia. Find out what this research means for you, with a greater emphasis on how to find and treat the cause of your symptoms."

I also recommend you check out and consider joining Devin's Facebook Group, Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction.
