Vitamin E for Infertility

Unfortunately, because in vitro fertilization costs 30 to 40 thousand dollars — making it very profitable — most physicians never hear about natural treatments for infertility. The truth is that there is a long list of natural treatments that can be very effective at restoring fertility — and you can do them on your own! A new study has added another natural treatment to the list: vitamin E. In fact, vitamin E can even make conventional treatment for infertility more effective!

Researchers studied 53 women with "unexplained infertility" who were being treated with several conventional methods — and added 400 IU of vitamin E to the daily regimen of some of the women. They found that those taking E had a uterine lining (endometrium) that was thicker and more receptive on the day the women received hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) for infertility.

"Vitamin E administration may improve the endometrial response in unexplained infertile women via the likely antioxidant and anticoagulant effects," wrote the researchers, adding, "The problem of a thin endometrium in these cycles may be adjusted."
