Study Update

A few weeks ago I announced a new fibromyalgia study that I am conducting together with a colleague, Dr. Gaetano Morello. The study involves a promising and unique natural supplement that Dr. Morello brought to my attention after discovering that it appeared to be helpful for people he was treating for fibromyalgia.

We invited readers who have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome who met certain symptom criteria to volunteer to participate in the study. Since then we've received around 1,000 requests and counting (thank you everyone)! So we thought this would be a good time to send everyone an update.

Most of 1st Group of Participants Are Enrolled

We've notified the first 71 people who volunteered that they've been accepted into the study.

An Effort to Accept More Participants in Phase 3

We'd like to help everyone who wants to be in the study, but our initial supply of the treatment supplement is limited to having enough for the 71 people we have enrolled.

I am looking into the possibility of getting another thousand bottles made so we can include more study participants. We're looking into how to make this affordable, as we have no grant support for the study. If we're able to get more of the product to supply for the study, our current guess is that it should be available in February.

If we can make this happen, for those of you who didn't make it into the first group of participants, we're going to launch a third phase of the study and invite everybody who requested (and qualified) into it. Those who we are able to accept into this part of the study will be sent a free bottle, which is a one-month supply and is sufficient to get a very good idea of how much the supplement is helping :-) Unfortunately, although our goal is that the first bottle will be free, we won't be able to send a second one free to this participant group in the same way that we've promised to the first participant group.

Making the Treatment Supplement Available

For those who would like to try the supplement without participating in the actual study, once we've confirmed that it helps as expected, I'll let you know where it can be obtained online (it'll likely be available around the February time frame).

Thanks everyone so much for your interest! We have another two and possibly a third treatment study planned for this coming year using three other promising treatments :-) So stay tuned!

Wishing everyone an awesome holiday, and a much better 2020!

Love and blessings,

Dr. T
