Hello Reader,

The current coronavirus (COVID-19) is a very worrisome issue. Unlike MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), coronavirus, and both the Swine and Avian Influenza Viruses — which I predicted would be relatively unimportant when they came about — the severity and ease of transmission of the current coronavirus suggests that this virus can become a major problem. So it would be wise for everyone to take commonsense preventive measures.

The current recommendations, such as using disposable tissues or even the back of your hand to catch sneezes and coughs, and washing your hands for 20 seconds when you've been in public places, are fairly reasonable. But they are the tip of the iceberg of what you can do to protect yourself.
