Dear Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, I am 34 years old and have been diagnosed with both Osteonecrosis and PVNS of the right hip. My doctors have not been able to give a clear diagnosis or prognosis at this time. My question is this; I am very passionate about living without pharma drugs and was wondering if you could speak to how I might ease the pain, build the bone, restore the full chondral loss, increase circulation and increase mobility of my hip? I greatly appreciate your time and holistic advice.

Answer

The avascular necrosis can be difficult to address is general, and too complex for an online answer, but the general measures for pain (eg- herbals such as willow, boswellia and Curcumin --eg the mixes in End PAin combined with Curamin, may help somewhat for both this and PVNS. I would also avoid corticosteroids (prednisome) and biphosphonates unless essential. .I would look into Frequency Specific Microcurrent (search online). Building bone is not the real issue here, though strontium 680 mg a day helps this and many kinds of bone pain (even cancer) though it takes time. Sorry I could not offer more here.
