Question to Dr. T on Emotional Issues from COVID

Question
I had COVID 5 years ago and have not been the same since. I developed severe mental and emotional symptoms—anxiety, fear, OCD, intrusive thoughts, crying spells. I also had low iron and Hashimoto’s for years prior to this but that was not treated properly.
I treated the iron deficiency and feel somewhat better, but the fear and OCD got worst after the iron infusions. My thyroid is still a mess with a TSH of 7, Free T3 of 2.9, Free T4 1.3 and Reverse T3 of 25.I just started NP thyroid a month ago but have not improved yet. My vitamin D is 89 and Ferritin is 494 (had infusions a year ago).
Can you give me some guidance on this?

Before I begin, I's like to invite you to join our new Facebook support group at “Recovering from Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and Long COVID,” where members come together to ask questions and share their experiences on these and other related topics of interest.
I've emailed you the shortness of breath information sheet as well as one on how to address the inflammation caused by Long COVID. Your worsening of symptoms after iron infusion suggests the presence of brain inflammation and oxidative stress. This is because iron is a potent oxidant (which is why it rusts). So basically, what is critical is to turn off the brain inflammation, including what is called microglial activation.
That somebody did check the reverse T3 suggests that you have a holistic practitioner with good thyroid understanding, and I would defer thyroid treatment questions to them.
When I was still practicing, your symptoms would have led me to assess for brain inflammation post COVID and the psychological issues triggered by this. For now I would suggest beginning a regimen of the following nutritional support. If you feel better after four months, consider decreasing the the amount you take of these.
- Energy Revitalization Drink Mix. This supplies key nutrients and antioxidants.
- NAC 1,000 mg 1 twice a day. This creates glutathione, which is a potent brain antioxidant. It has also been shown at these doses to help OCD. If cost isn't an issue for you, consider adding Clinical Glutathione 1 twice a day for 2 months.
- LDN. Refer to the information sheet I emailed you.
- CuraMed® 750 mg 2 twice a day for 6 weeks, then 1 a day as needed.
- PEA Healthy Inflammation Response. See the dosing in the information I sent you. After 3 months, you one can often lower the dose to 300-600 mg daily.
- AnxioCalm® and Hemp Oil (without THC) can help with calming as needed.
